1963 Maserati Sebring, Series 1, 3500GTI --- NOT FOR SALE

A Vignale-bodied 3.5 liter inline six with twin plug head design producing 235 HP. Only a limited production of 348 built from 1963 to early 1967. A very rare car and considered by many to be one of the finest examples of Vignale coachwork. Beautiful lines, with factory tubular undercarriage and steel body with aluminum hood and trunk lids. A truly unusual but fully correct example of what custom coachwork was all about. Matching number engine, transmission, and rear end with the original Lucas fuel injection installed and in excellent mechanical condition. Fully documented at the Maserati factory. Power assisted Girling 4 wheel disc brakes and the original 5 speed ZF gearbox makes for a wonderful driving experience. Runs and drives extremely well. Recently restored to a high-quality drivable and "showable" condition. Over $60,000 recently spent making this a stunning example.  Mileage 83,900 Kilometers or about 52,000 miles. Overhauled fuel injection, cooling, braking, steering and front suspension systems. New and rare Amaranto (red) paint along with 95 % of the chrome re-plated. All new Italian black leather front and rear, completely correct in style and condition. Power windows. Everything works, including the clock. Fast and smooth, running on a new set of period-correct Vredestein 185/16 tires. Refurbished Borrani steel/aluminum wheels. Italian sport mirror imported from Italy. Extensive receipts, copies of manuals, jack and spare. If you are seriously considering a Maserati Sebring for your collection, this one should be at the top of your list. The Maserati Sebring cars are finally being recognized in the collector-car world. A long-term investment for the astute collector. Rugged, well built, fast, and great handling makes for a very enjoyable sports car with a splash of luxury.
